BIRD2WORD

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 1, 2026

This policy covers BIRD2WORD, both the website at bird2word.com and the BIRD2WORD app for iOS. In short: BIRD2WORD doesn't ask you to create an account, doesn't collect your name, email, or any personal profile, and doesn't sell your data to anyone. Here's the detail.

Information we don't collect

BIRD2WORD has no accounts, no sign-up, and no login. We don't ask for your name, email address, or any other personal identifying information, and we don't operate a server that stores your gameplay history.

Stats stay on your device

Your average and best time, word count, and score are tracked separately for each mode and difficulty, but this data is stored only in your browser's or device's local storage. It never leaves your device, and we never see it. Clearing your browser data or deleting the app removes it permanently.

Advertising

BIRD2WORD is supported by ads served through Google AdMob (in the app) and Google AdSense (on the website). To serve and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect information such as your device's advertising identifier, general location, IP address, and how you interact with an ad. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Google's advertising technology policy, not by us directly.

On iOS, ad-related tracking is subject to Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework — you'll be asked for permission, and you can change your choice anytime in your device's Settings app under Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Purchasing "Unlock everything" removes ads from the app going forward.

In-app purchases

The one-time "Unlock everything" purchase is processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We never see or store your payment details, card number, or Apple ID — that's handled directly between you and Apple, under Apple's own privacy policy.

Children's privacy

BIRD2WORD is a general-audience word game and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us using the address below and we'll remove it.

Third-party links

Some pages (like About) link out to third-party sites, such as public-domain word list sources. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of those external sites.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the game or app changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
